“See the good all around you, even if you have to squint.”
Author: Unknown, Anonymous From my Quote Book “Live Happy,
Inspirational Thoughts on Life, Love, and Laughter” that my Mom gave to me. It
sits on my desk, every time all of my friends come over they always look
through it, just because it makes you think about how you should live your
life!
What it means to me:
This quote can have multiple means:
* To look at life in a positive way, try to see the good in
everything and everyone even though it is hard sometimes
* To keep an open mind for things you don’t understand,
there is a little bit of good in everything
* Don’t let little things get you down, remain hopeful
1) A person’s attitude is a huge determining factor in how he “sees” the world around him. Does attitude change “reality”? If so, how? If not, why does the world appear so differently to people with different attitudes?
ReplyDelete2) You’ve heard the expression: “seeing is believing.” I think it’s also true that “Believing is seeing.” What do you think this means, and is it right or wrong>
3) Does a positive attitude have its limits? Who was Don Quixote and what was his story?

I interpret the quote to mean try to look for the positives in every situation no matter how hard it may be to find them. Work to be positive.
ReplyDeletekeep a glass half full outlook no matter the circumstances
ReplyDeleteI like the quote because it challenges people to see the good in everything, even in situations where it’s hard to find something positive. It’s encouraging people to be positive, which is important in order to live a happy life.
ReplyDeleteI like the quote and how it means that you should see the good in people and look past the bad. Stay positive.
ReplyDeleteto me this quote means that people need to see the good in all situations, because it might help with the bad.
ReplyDeleteThis quote is a great way to look at life. It tells me to find the good in all situations even if there doesn't appear to be any at first sight.
ReplyDeleteI think the saying "when the going gets tough, the tough get going" comes to mind. It seems like it goes hand-in-hand with always looking for positives.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" from Life of Brian was what I was singing in my head as I thought about it.
Questions:
ReplyDeleteWhy should you ignore the bad in life? If you ignore the bad, it can never get better.
Why is this quote your favorite out of the whole book (what are the other quotes about)?
Do all situations have good in them?
Will people have different opinions on what is considered good and bad?
To squint means to try to see things better and this quote means to me that when you look around at the world there is a lot of evil, but you should try hard to always see the good.
ReplyDeleteI really Like Sarah's quote because I see the negative in thing rather then the good in things sometimes. The quote really shows Sarah's positive outlook in life and why she does so well. If everyone looked at life like this then the world would be a better place.

ReplyDeleteSquinting gives you a clear outlook, so even if the view is not always clear, try to make the best of it. For example, when children grow up in bad neighbor hoods and are influenced with nothing but violence, it's hard to see the good, but some do. It may take a little more effort to process the good and the bad, but when you're positive, you feel so much better.
